Winter Steelhead Are Here!

Once again, Winter Steelhead have arrived in the local rivers. We landed three yesterday ( 11/16 ) on the “little river that could”. Water temps have dropped from summer temps, but not as cold as they are going to get, making the early winters a much easier target than January. For the swing game, Rabbit leeches, Intruders, Hoh Bo’s, and the like, are all fishing like they should. Another great swing fly for us has been Price’s Skin Rash. Anytime we get good viz and lower flows, this fly seems to be the ticket. For the nymph game, Agent Onyx, Lifters, and glo bugs are doing fine.

Crowds are way down, if you can get out soon, do it!
