Airlite Fly Reels

Why We Carry Airlite Fly Reels
Airlite may be new to the US market, but the people behind it are anything but new to fly fishing. The Airlite V3 reel was designed by the same team behind Ross Reels in Montrose, Colorado — engineers and anglers with decades of experience building world-class fly fishing gear. The result is a reel that punches well above its price point: precision CNC machined, sealed saltwater-resistant drag, ambidextrous design, and a deep charcoal smoke finish with satin olive accents that looks as good as it performs. We carry Airlite because it represents exactly the kind of value we love to put in our customers’ hands — serious performance at an approachable price, backed by people who know what they’re doing.
Airlite V3 Fly Reel
The Airlite V3 is the flagship reel in the Airlite lineup, and it’s built for anglers who want modern large-arbor performance without compromise. Here’s what sets it apart:
- Sealed saltwater-resistant drag: Smooth, reliable stopping power with impressively low start-up inertia — critical for protecting lighter tippets on technical fish.
- Ambidextrous design: Quick and effortless switching between left- and right-hand retrieves, right out of the box.
- Precision CNC machining: High tolerances and enhanced porting deliver a lightweight, modern large-arbor design that balances beautifully on the rod.
- Distinctive finish: Deep charcoal smoke with satin olive accents — a visually striking reel that stands out on any setup.
- Spare spools available: Perfect for anglers who need to carry multiple lines, and well-suited for saltwater use.
