Redington Fly Fishing Rods & Reels

Why We Carry Redington at Northwest Fly Fishing Outfitters

Redington approaches fly fishing from a different angle than most brands — and that’s exactly why we carry them. Their mission is to make the sport more accessible, more intuitive, and more welcoming to anglers at every level, without cutting corners on performance. From traditional trout rods to euro nymphing setups to Spey, Redington designs gear that meets anglers where they are and grows with them as they develop. We appreciate that philosophy because it mirrors our own — fly fishing should be for everyone, and the right gear at the right price makes that possible.

Redington Fly Rod & Reel Warranty

Redington stands behind their rods and reels with a solid warranty for original owners purchased through authorized retailers like Northwest Fly Fishing Outfitters. Here’s what you need to know:

  • What’s covered: Defects in materials and workmanship for the original owner. Most rods are covered under Redington’s original owner warranty with no time limit.
  • Crosswater, Minnow, Original & Topo series: Covered by a one-year warranty against defects, with dated proof of purchase required.
  • What’s not covered: Misuse, neglect, normal wear, fire, theft, lost or missing rod sections, intentional damage, or modification of a finished rod. This warranty covers replacement of the rod or reel only — not consequential or incidental damages.
  • Out-of-warranty repairs: Breakage outside of warranty coverage may be eligible for a fee-based replacement. Redington also offers spare tips for most rods available for direct purchase. Some items may no longer be repairable — Redington will contact you with alternatives after inspection.
  • How to return: The original owner must send the complete product, including all broken parts, freight paid and insured to Redington’s Bainbridge Island facility. Start the process through Redington’s online repair form.
